1. I chose black to focus on this photograph.

2. The meaning this color can convey mystery, unhappiness and fear.

3. This color relates to the passage from the book because it's about a lady standing up for herself while a man is talking her down. He's saying stuff like I should have lock you up. Just let you out to work. Therefore the color represents unhappiness, anger, and fear.

4. The photograph relates to this passage because in the passage i says that he would lock her up.

5. "Shit, he say. I should have lock you up. Just let you out to work. The jail you plan for me is the one in which you will rot, I say"

6. This photo gives the same feeling as the passage because it's dark and this passage is a very tense setting. It talks about a man locking up a woman so the bars represent jail bars.

1. I chose yellow to focus on in this photograph.

2. The meanings that this color can convey are joy, happiness and sunshine.

3. This color can relate to the passage from the book because it's about someone having a good time in Africa. A very memorable experience.

4. This photograph relates to the passage from the book because it mentions how their skin glows in the sun.

5. "Because the black is so black the eye is simply dazzled, and then there is the shining that seems to come, really, from moonlight, it is so luminous, but their skin glows even in the sun."

6. This photo gives the same feeling as the passage because the photo is very bright and I would say it has a good energy from it and so does the passage.

1. I chose red to focus in on this photograph.

2. The meaning that this color can convey is passion, desire, intensity, aggression, danger and passion.

3. The color of this photo relates to the passage from the book because the passage is about fear and anger and how a father is saying women are lower then men. He beats his wife and as the children peak through to see, the young daughter becomes more afraid of men.

4. This photograph relates to the passage from the story because at the end a boy named Harpo says he loves a girl and is trying to get her attention by winking at her but she acted like she was scared. So this photograph is representing a guy trying to get a girl and her avoiding him and moving away.

5. "I don't know. I wink at her. She act like she scared to look."

6. This photo gives the same feeling as the passage because the girl is refusing to talk to the guy and she's not paying him any attention. It shows the hesitation described in the story.

1. I see a bunch of rocks that form a woman.

2. I see grey from the rocks and green from some kind of hair.

4. This photo gives me a confusing but relaxing mood because the lady that is formed by the rocks looks at peace with herself.

5. This photo means that the lady could possibly be at peace with herself.

6. This shows the rule of thirds because her face was in one of the money shots so that it is noticed.

1. I see people kneeling on the floor wearing nothing but orange.

2. I see orange from the clothes and grey from the floor.

4. This gives me a calm mood because everyone is calm and kneeling.

5. I think this probably represents peace.

6. The whole photo every third in the rule of thirds is being occupied.

3. Adventurous, high, risky, dangerous, open.

4. This photo give me a rebellious mood, it makes me want to go sky diving.

5. You have to go to great lengths to get to your goal.

6. This shows the rules of thirds because in one money shot you have the people walking on the mountain, then in the other money shot it shows how high the mountain is by showing the clouds at the bottom.

4. This gives me a relaxing peaceful mood because it's so colorful and the lake or pond is calm.

5. This photo could possibly just be what someone thinks is a place they like.

6. This shows the rule of thirds because there's something occupying every square.
